Avitourism Congress Colombia

November 7, 2024 November 10, 2024

During its history, the Birdwatching Congress has positioned itself nationally and internationally as a specialized event for training in birding, knowledge of birds, presentation of world-class success stories, exhibition of scientific projects, inclusion of science citizen participation and the participation of multiple local and regional actors in the nature tourism value chain, in the academic agenda with master conferences, workshops, forums, educational symposium and exhibition of scientific posters.

Likewise, the experiential agenda with field trips to birding to 20 representative places in Manizales and surrounding municipalities such as Villamaría, Chinchiná and Neira, generates in the participants a direct experience in the territory as a hobby, research or for the recognition of the local offer, getting to know its birds, nature and dazzling landscapes in different ecosystems that are found from 850 to 4,100 meters above sea level, interacting with rural communities, enjoying routes, birdwatching lodges, ecoparks and natural reserves with specialized tourist products and recognized worldwide as hotspots of birds, which are part of a sustainable tourism destination in favor of the conservation of their habitats, culture, art and their communities.
